Guns ‘N’ Roses to release ‘Chinese Democracy’ Nov. 23
Billboard is reporting that Chinese Democracy, the delayed Guns N’ Roses album, will finally be released Nov. 23, exactly 15 years to the day since their last release, The Spaghetti Incident.Their new song Shackler’s Revenge will debut on the soundtrack of video game Rock Band 2 ahead of the album release.
The set will be a Best Buy exclusive and will be available Sunday, rather than the usual Tuesday.By releasing it on a Sunday rather than a Tuesday, Guns ‘N Roses can apparently give Chinese Democracy a chance to be eligible for Billboard’s sales charts a few days earlier.
Another track from the album, If The World, is used on the closing credits for the film Body of Lies, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.
Chinese Democracy will be the sixth studio album by Guns,The album is completed after 14-years of production and costing over $13 million to produce.
In March Dr Pepper take the challenge after making a press announcement that it will give a free can of Dr Pepper to “everyone in America if Chinese Democracy arrives anytime during the calendar year 2008.

Yeah, where has everyone been on this? I could not believe that not one person at the Beijing Olympics had the balls to wear a ‘Where’s Tank Man?’ t-shirt, - or ‘Peace in Tibet!’ or ‘What about Darfur?’- even ‘Tofu not tyrants!’ All over China people were waiting for someone to stand up and say “We are here with you!”. No, millions of people were willing to watch the shows, go shopping, signal ‘Chaka Braka’ to party goers all around….and that’s it! Right at Beijing Square! Many Chinese know nothing of Tankman. We had our chance to stand by the poor and disenfranchised, the tortured, and the owned, but the party was about money and power, so we are all getting ‘owned’.
And the press release comes exactly 1 month before 11-11, when the first NOISEWITHIN record comes out.
NickDanger - are you serious? I’ll excuse your ignorance, because you’re probably 13 and listen to rap. GNR is one of the all time best known Rock bands. They have hits from every album. Watch Terminator 2. Listen to Appetite for Destruction, Use Your Illusion 1 & 2.
Learn to look things up before posting ignorant remarks, and expand your musical tastes beyond the Top 40.
The author of this article keeps referring to Guns and Roses as “they”. There is no THEY anymore. The band is dead. Axl Rose may have kept the name instead of “The Axl Rose Project” but we all know the truth.

I believe he was making a joke about how washed up this overrated band really is. They are absolutely the worst live rock band I have ever heard, they barely bother tuning their instruments and slash(the most ‘musical’ member) was a terrible guitarist. Add that to an awful singer with the biggest ego ever, and you have gnr.
Ron Thal may be amazing, but he’s not enough to save them.
This is essentially an Axl Rose solo release. He is one of the few original band-members in Guns and Roses. In my opinion, he was the weakest link in the band: He sounds like a shrill Robert-Plant impersonator without any balls. What’s more, unhealthy vocal technique has taken a toll on his voice, and I’m told he’s not the singer he once was. The whole thing is really pathetic. The original GnR was fair at best, and now with one weak singer and 14 years of stalling, we can only expect a terrible album.
And to think 13 million dollars was wasted for this! You can go online and find independent musicians who record themselves at home for much less money and time - the recording quality is just as good, and the music is fresh and alive.
Don’t buy this! People like Axl Rose are killing music and killing rock and roll.
I just want my can of Dr Pepper.

Pfffft, surely this won’t happen. Axl will find another excuse to delay it for EVER. Like initiating a nuclear holocaust or something. It’d probably be cheaper than recording the album was anyway.
